With vibrant purple blooms stretching across the landscape in this Puyallup field, golden sunlight pouring across the fields, and plenty of room to explore, these sessions created the perfect setting for capturing genuine connections and lasting memories.
One of my favorite things about offering lupine mini sessions is how versatile they are. This spring season welcomed an incredible variety of clients—from high school graduates celebrating a major milestone, to best friends documenting their special bond, to families both big and small gathering together for updated portraits. No matter who stepped in front of the camera, the lupine fields provided a stunning backdrop that felt both timeless and uniquely Pacific Northwest.
The warm golden glow of the evening sun wrapped everyone in beautiful, flattering light, creating that dreamy, luminous look photographers and clients alike love. The combination of colorful blooms, rolling fields, and glowing skies added incredible depth to every image, allowing each session to feel rich, dimensional, and full of life.
One of the biggest advantages of these mini sessions is the 20-minute timeframe. It’s just long enough to capture a wonderful variety of images without feeling rushed, while still keeping little ones engaged and cooperative. Parents love that the short session helps avoid meltdowns, and dads especially appreciate that they can get beautiful family photos without committing to a lengthy photo shoot. It's truly the sweet spot for creating meaningful portraits while keeping the experience fun and less stressful for everyone involved.
Watching each family, graduate, and group create memories among the blooms was such a joy, and I’m grateful to have captured these moments during one of the most beautiful seasons of the year.
